The Dodgers reshaped their active roster before Tuesday’s series opener against the Padres, bringing back outfielder Andy Pages and right-hander Roki Sasaki from the injured list while sending right-hander Emmet Sheehan and catcher Eliezer Alfonzo to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Pages is back after missing time with a fractured left hand suffered against the Pirates on August 21. The 25-year-old All-Star had appeared in 128 games before the injury, hitting .272 with 21 home runs and 80 RBI.

Sasaki returns after being sidelined since August 27 by a blister on the middle finger of his pitching hand. The 24-year-old right-hander is 5-5 with a 4.60 ERA this season, though his work after the All-Star break has been considerably sharper: 2-0 with a 3.05 ERA.

To clear room, Los Angeles optioned Sheehan and Alfonzo to Oklahoma City.
Pages gives the lineup another established right-handed bat for a divisional meeting with San Diego. He is in his third Dodgers season and has produced 61 homers and 212 RBI across 400 major league games. Los Angeles originally signed the Havana, Cuba, native as an international free agent on March 1, 2018.
Sasaki, in his second full season with the club, has made 33 big league appearances in his career. He owns a 6-6 record, a 4.57 ERA and 145 strikeouts in 155 2/3 innings. The Dodgers signed him out of Rikuzentakata, Japan, on January 22, 2025.
Sheehan heads out after strong Sunday outing
Sheehan’s trip to Triple-A comes two days after he delivered 5 1/3 scoreless innings against the Giants. The 26-year-old has gone 5-8 with a 4.57 ERA this season, striking out 132 hitters in 112 1/3 innings.
Now in his third Dodgers campaign, Sheehan has compiled a 15-12 record and 4.13 ERA in 51 career games, including 45 starts. Los Angeles selected him in the sixth round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft out of Boston College.
Alfonzo, also 26, had been used in 13 games with the Dodgers and was batting .179 with two doubles and four RBI. At Oklahoma City, he has hit .302 with two home runs and 25 RBI. Across 598 minor league contests, the catcher owns a .283 average, 33 homers and 291 RBI.
The Dodgers signed Alfonzo as a minor league free agent on November 17, 2025. For now, he returns to Oklahoma City while Pages and Sasaki step back into a club preparing for another Padres series with the postseason drawing closer.
