Each of the five unused players presents a different case. Some need competitive minutes for development, others need involvement to maintain their place within the group, while regular action can also improve a player’s standing in the transfer market.
Boey and Ito are established senior options seeking a route back into match action. Goalkeeper Ulreich has also not featured in the league, while Santos and Ndiaye are waiting for their own first opening under Kompany.
