La Plata’s UNO stadium showed a noticeably sparse Flamengo away end after the Brazilian club took up only 1,400 of the 4,000 tickets made available under Conmebol’s visiting-support requirement.
The unused allocation left clear gaps across the section reserved for Flamengo supporters, an unusual visual in a continental fixture involving one of Brazil’s most widely followed clubs.
Large part of away allocation remained unused
Conmebol regulations required 4,000 places to be set aside for the visiting side, but Flamengo’s travelling support filled only around a third of that total. The result was a fragmented block of red-and-black fans rather than a packed visiting terrace in La Plata.
