At the Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro’s Copa Libertadores campaign reaches its decisive night with a place in the continental final at stake. The home side must negotiate the return fixture without several important players and is also monitoring Giorgian de Arrascaeta’s condition closely.
A difficult Libertadores decision in Rio
The Carioca club faces notable absences as it attempts to complete its route to the final of South America’s leading club competition. De Arrascaeta, one of the team’s key figures, remains under observation ahead of the match at the Maracanã.
His availability could carry particular weight in a tie that will decide whether the Rio side can continue its Libertadores journey into the final.
