Flick Delays Barcelona’s Seville Trip Ahead of Real Betis Clash

Barcelona’s route south will begin later than first planned on Friday, with Hansi Flick adjusting the final day of preparation before the Catalan side travel to Seville for Saturday evening’s meeting with Real Betis.

The visitors had initially scheduled a morning training session, followed by Flick’s media appearance at around 13:00. Instead, the coach will speak at 13:30, while the squad’s final workout has been moved to 15:30.

The revised timetable is intended to make the day easier for the players before the afternoon journey from Barcelona. Once training is complete, the group will head to Josep Tarradellas Airport and fly to Seville, where they will stay overnight ahead of the match.

A Saturday appointment at La Cartuja

Barcelona face Betis in the ninth round of LaLiga at La Cartuja, with kick-off set for 18:30 on Saturday. The Seville club arrive as the division’s third-placed side, giving Flick’s travelling party a substantial test after their short change to the pre-match schedule.

For Barcelona, the alteration is modest in timing but practical in purpose: media duties first, work on the training ground later, then the flight across the peninsula for a night in Seville before the weekend fixture.
