France’s Under-21 side will leave for Iceland a day later than planned after a technical problem affected their aircraft, tightening the build-up to Friday’s Euro 2027 qualifier in Reykjavik.
The move
Gérald Baticle’s France squad had been due to travel on Wednesday but will now depart on Thursday afternoon. The group has been together at Clairefontaine since Monday and will complete one final training session there on Thursday morning before flying to the Icelandic capital.
The delayed journey comes on the eve of the match against Iceland, scheduled for Friday at 17:00. France are currently top of their qualifying group for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship.
