AC Milan’s home has been marked by an act of vandalism at a moment when the club is still mourning Franco Baresi. The mural dedicated to the former captain outside Casa Milan has been defaced less than two months after his death on 31 July.
Spray-paint marks have altered Baresi’s face in the artwork, while other sections of the mural show scratches and signs of damage. The image of the vandalised tribute was shared by Milan city councillor Alessandro Giungi.
