Hugo Bolin has been added to Sweden’s senior squad after his recent performances for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The 23-year-old midfielder joined Gladbach from Malmö FF last winter. He has scored twice in four Bundesliga appearances and is the club’s leading scorer despite the side sitting bottom of the table.
“Hugo had every reason to hope for another Sweden call-up after what he has shown for Borussia,” sporting director Rouven Schröder said. Gladbach are also pleased to have another full international in the squad.
Bolin has won two caps for Sweden. The Swedes lead Nations League B, Group 4 with six points from two matches. They play Bosnia and Herzegovina away on Friday at 20:45, then travel to Romania on Monday, also at 20:45.
Next Spieltag
Gladbach visit St. Pauli on Saturday at 15:30. Their next league match follows on Sunday, 11 October, away to rivals 1. FC Köln at 15:30.
Borussia remain without a point after four games. Köln have four points.
