Hulk struck first in the 27th minute before adding another in the 76th, his second goal arriving with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. He was also affected by a vomiting episode during the match, yet remained influential as Fluminense secured a significant away victory.
The former Brazil international joined Fluminense this summer after leaving Atlético Mineiro. His start with the Rio club has been emphatic: six goals in nine Brazilian championship appearances.
Hulk, who won 49 caps for Brazil and scored 11 international goals, continues to provide an experienced and prolific presence at the sharp end of Fluminense’s campaign.
