Isaksen and Mandas Lead Lazio Past Monza

Lazio found decisive moments when the match demanded them, with Christos Mandas producing a crucial save and Gustav Isaksen supplying the attacking quality. The Danish winger scored an outstanding goal and later struck the post, while Monza were lifted by Dany Mota after his introduction.

Mandas and Isaksen shape Lazio’s afternoon

Mandas played an important part in protecting Lazio at a critical stage, making the save that kept the balance of the contest in the visitors’ favour. His intervention gave Lazio the platform to manage the game with greater calm.

At the other end, Isaksen was the clearest source of incision. He delivered a fine finish for his goal and came close to adding another when his effort hit the woodwork. It was a performance of growing influence from a player capable of changing the rhythm of Lazio’s attacking play.

Monza respond through Mota

Monza improved when Mota entered the match, bringing greater movement and urgency to their forward play. His impact altered the tone of the game and gave the home side more belief in the closing phases.

Michael Folorunsho, however, was unable to impose himself in the same way. His contribution fell short of the level Monza needed as they searched for a route back into the contest.

For Lazio, the afternoon was built on two defining contributions: Mandas delivering security in goal and Isaksen providing the attacking moment that separated the sides. Monza showed more life through Mota, but lacked enough from the rest of their key figures to turn their improvement into a decisive response.
