Jameis Winston will stay atop the New York Giants’ quarterback depth chart even if the club brings in another passer in the coming days, head coach John Harbaugh said Sunday.
Harbaugh’s decision keeps Winston in line to start as the Giants continue evaluating their options at quarterback. Any incoming addition would not immediately displace Winston from the first-team role.
The Giants could still add depth at the position, but Harbaugh made clear that Winston’s standing as the starter will not change simply because another quarterback joins the roster.
