In southern Brazil, Diego Souza’s brief spell on the Joinville touchline has been thrown into doubt after the Brazilian Football Confederation cancelled his coaching credential.
The former Grêmio player had taken charge of Joinville for five matches before the decision affecting his licence.
Certificate offer attributed to Mancuso
Souza said Alejandro Mancuso was the person who offered him the certificate that allowed him to work as a coach. He identified Mancuso as the figure behind the licence proposal after the CBF moved to withdraw his credential.
The cancellation leaves Joinville’s recent five-game period under Souza without its original coaching arrangement, while the circumstances surrounding the certificate remain at the centre of the case.
