Juventus have chosen continuity in their forward line, extending Nico Gonzalez’s contract until 30 June 2030 and keeping the Argentine tied to Turin after his spell on loan at Atletico Madrid last season.
A longer Juventus commitment
The new agreement underlines Juventus’ intention to retain Gonzalez as part of the group built over recent seasons. The 1998-born attacker first joined the club from Fiorentina in the summer of 2024 and has now been handed a deal running into the next decade.
His time in black and white has included 45 appearances across all competitions, with seven goals and five assists. Juventus believe his experience and personality make him an important presence within the squad as well as on the pitch.
- Contract expiry: 30 June 2030
- Joined Juventus: summer 2024, from Fiorentina
- Juventus record: 45 appearances, seven goals and five assists
- Current-season return: two goals in five matches
Return after Madrid chapter
Gonzalez spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Atletico Madrid, but Juventus have decided his longer-term future remains in Turin. The renewal brings an end to uncertainty around the Argentine’s place in the squad and gives the club a familiar attacking option for a season carrying commitments on several fronts.
Juventus see Gonzalez as a player capable of providing different solutions in the final third, with the capacity to add unpredictability to the attacking department. His early contribution this season, with two goals from five outings, has strengthened that view.
A settled option for the campaign ahead
The extension is more than a contractual detail for Juventus. It preserves an experienced player who already knows the demands of the club and gives the coaching staff another established reference point in a demanding championship season.
After a year away in Spain, Gonzalez’s renewed Juventus deal confirms that his next chapter will be written in black and white.
