Juventus have tied Davide Marchisio to his first professional contract, securing one of the academy’s emerging midfielders on a three-year deal running until 2028.
The 17-year-old is the eldest son of former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, but his progress through the club’s youth system has earned its own recognition. Born on 31 August 2009, Davide has become an important figure in the midfield of Juventus’ newly formed Under-18 side during the opening months of the season.
He also marked a notable moment for that team by scoring its first-ever goal in its inaugural Under-18 championship campaign.
A steady path through the Juventus academy
Marchisio’s contract follows a consistent development period rather than a sudden breakthrough. Last season, playing for Juventus Under 17s, he appeared in 23 matches and scored three times, including a goal in the Derby della Mole.
His performances also brought him into contact with the senior environment. Towards the end of last season, Luciano Spalletti called him to train with the first team at Continassa, giving the midfielder an early experience of the standards required beyond the academy.
Within the Under-18 group, Marchisio has established himself in the centre of the pitch, showing the tempo and awareness that have made him a reference point for his teammates.
A familiar name, but a separate journey
The surname inevitably recalls Claudio Marchisio’s long association with Juventus, yet Davide’s career remains at its beginning. His father has followed his development closely, offering advice while allowing the player to grow at his own pace and avoid being burdened by comparisons.
For Davide, the new agreement is a commitment to the club he has supported since childhood.
“I am proud to have signed my first professional contract with the team I have dreamed of and loved since I was a child,” he wrote. “I will continue to work with ambition and the desire to improve, giving everything for these colours. Until the end.”
Juventus now have time to manage the next stage of his education carefully. The contract is a reward for what Marchisio has done in the youth ranks so far, while the larger test will be the patience, consistency and work required to turn early promise into a senior career.
