Jalen Brunson’s offseason calendar keeps moving well beyond the practice gym. The Knicks star will guest star on Law & Order: SVU, with his episode set for Nov. 5 as the fifth installment of the upcoming season.
Brunson was spotted filming in Brooklyn on Wednesday, though NBC has not disclosed the part he will play. The appearance adds another television stop to a busy fall for New York’s championship point guard.
Before his SVU episode arrives, Brunson is scheduled to host the Sept. 26 season opener of Saturday Night Live. He also appeared during Monday’s Emmy Awards opening sequence, sharing the broadcast with Law & Order: SVU lead Mariska Hargitay, who hosted the ceremony.
The Brunson-Hargitay connection has become a familiar sight around the Knicks. Hargitay was at Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, when New York erased a 29-point hole and edged the San Antonio Spurs 107-106. That comeback pushed the Knicks toward their first NBA championship since 1973, and Hargitay embraced Brunson on the floor after the final horn.
They had also appeared together at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. Brunson attended Hargitay’s June Broadway run in Every Brilliant Thing, while Hargitay later joined Brunson, his father and his wife aboard the team bus during New York’s championship parade.
For Brunson, the next acting assignment comes with no announced character details yet. The air date is on the board, though: Nov. 5, with the Knicks captain stepping into the SVU world for one episode.
