Lamar Jackson Ruled Out for Ravens’ AFC North Clash With Bengals

Sunday’s NFL roster picture is being shaped by quarterback changes, late injury decisions and a wave of practice-squad elevations ahead of the Week’s games. The most significant move comes in Baltimore, where Lamar Jackson will miss the Ravens’ AFC North matchup with Cincinnati.

Quarterback and key Sunday availability

  1. Lamar Jackson has been ruled out with an ankle injury for the Ravens’ game against the Bengals. Tyler Huntley will make his third consecutive start in Jackson’s place.
  2. Lions safety Brian Branch is expected to come off the physically unable to perform list and make his season debut against the Packers after recovering from an Achilles injury.
  3. Vikings running back Jordan Mason, who has been on injured reserve with a thumb injury, is expected to be activated if he completes Saturday’s final steps without an issue.
  4. Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed will travel separately to Seattle for personal reasons and is set to meet the club there. His knee injury still leaves him listed as questionable for Sunday.
  5. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is questionable for Monday night’s game against the Cowboys because of a hamstring issue. He practiced fully Saturday after limited work on each of the prior two days.

Injured reserve moves and returning players

  1. The Browns activated running back Dylan Sampson from injured reserve. He carries no game designation for Sunday’s matchup with the Titans, while guard Teven Jenkins has been moved to injured reserve with a back injury. Safety Grant Delpit also cleared concussion protocol and is available.
  2. The Broncos placed running back Tyler Badie and linebacker Jonah Elliss on injured reserve. Running back Jonah Coleman has been activated from IR after an ankle injury, while linebacker Jonathon Cooper has returned to the active roster after coming off the Commissioner’s Exempt List on Oct. 16.
  3. Colts linebacker C.J. Allen has been ruled out against the Vikings because of an ankle injury. Punter Rigoberto Sanchez, who had been questionable with a right-foot injury, no longer carries a designation.
  4. Seahawks linebacker Cooper McDonald has been activated from injured reserve and has been cleared to play against Seattle’s upcoming opponent. Kansas City placed running back Brashard Smith on injured reserve.
  5. Safety Kyle Louis has been activated from injured reserve.
  6. Giants tight end Theo Johnson will not play against the Texans because of a neck injury, while safety Jevon Holland has been ruled out with a concussion.
  7. Safety DeShon Elliott has been activated from injured reserve.
  8. Linebacker Dorian Mausi will remain on injured reserve and will not be activated for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
