Lazio’s preparation for the next stage of the season continues on Saturday 3 October, when Gennaro Gattuso’s side welcome Juve Stabia to the club’s Formello Training Center. The friendly, played behind closed doors, gives the Biancocelesti another controlled afternoon before their forthcoming meeting with Ivan Juric’s Monza.
A Formello test before Monza
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 on the main pitch at Lazio’s training complex. Lazio arrive after last week’s victory over Arezzo, coached by Cristian Bucchi, and will use the Juve Stabia match as part of their build-up towards the league assignment against Monza.
For Juve Stabia and coach Pietro De Giorgio, the visit to Rome comes one week after the resumption of activity and represents a demanding third friendly in only a few days.
- Lazio beat Arezzo in their previous friendly.
- Juve Stabia have already overcome Quarto and Palmese at the Menti in Castellammare.
- The match will take place without spectators at Formello.
- The fixture begins at 15:00 on Saturday 3 October.
Juve Stabia’s busy return to work
The visitors have moved quickly through their early programme, collecting wins over Quarto and Palmese before taking on Lazio. A meeting with a Serie A opponent offers De Giorgio’s group a different measure after those opening tests in Castellammare.
For Lazio, the occasion is less about the result than maintaining rhythm and sharpening the squad’s work before Monza. The calendar now begins to turn back towards competitive football, with Formello providing the setting for a final useful examination.
