In Prague, England’s 2-0 Nations League win over the Czech Republic brought a first senior international appearance for Rio Ngumoha, with the Liverpool youngster stepping onto the continental stage at 18 years and 31 days.

Ngumoha had received his first England call-up from Thomas Tuchel for the four fixtures in this international window. His selection also restored Liverpool representation in the England squad after Tuchel took no players from the club to the previous World Cup.
A strong start to the season with the Reds, under Andoni Iraola, has put Ngumoha in contention as another attacking option for the Three Lions. He remained unused when England lost 3-2 to Spain at Wembley, but was introduced in the Czech capital during the following match.
The 18-year-old replaced Bukayo Saka in the 70th minute as England saw out their victory. In doing so, he became the third-youngest player to make his England debut.
Only Wayne Rooney and Jude Bellingham made their first senior appearances at a younger age. Rooney was 17 years and 156 days old when he played against Australia in a 2003 friendly, while Bellingham was 17 years and 269 days old on his England debut.
