Como’s unbeaten start disappeared under the floodlights on Sunday as Frosinone produced a sharp 2-0 away win, with goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani turning the visitors’ box into a locked door.
Palmisani made seven saves and was credited with preventing 2.64 goals, a display strong enough to draw comparisons with Gianluigi Buffon from Italian television commentators. Como had begun the campaign with three wins and one draw, but found no way through.

Como pressed early, but Palmisani denied Anastasios Douvikas twice in the seventh minute. He later got fingertips to a Nico Paz header in the 43rd minute, before stopping Moise Kean after a well-worked move six minutes into the second half.
Frosinone, promoted this season, were far more ruthless with the openings offered to them. Calo arrived onto Romano Schmidt’s low cut-back to put the visitors ahead after 14 minutes.
Como’s defensive frailties again surfaced just before the interval. Schmidt supplied Kvernadze on the counterattack, and the Georgian finished in the third minute of added time to double Frosinone’s lead.
Antonio Raimondo thought he had made it three late on, but his 87th-minute effort was ruled out following a foul on Jacobo Ramon. It did not alter the result or the feeling of a major statement from Frosinone.
Como had not lost in Serie A since their defeat to Sassuolo in mid-April. Their first setback of the new season now leaves Frosinone ahead of them in the standings after another impressive start.
