Manchester United Move to Secure JJ Gabriel as Galatasaray Eye Bruno

Europe’s clubs are already shaping the squads that will carry them through a demanding autumn and winter, with Manchester United moving to protect one of their brightest academy prospects, Galatasaray reviving their pursuit of Bruno Fernandes and Getafe attempting to make room for Dani Carvajal.

United act to retain JJ Gabriel

Manchester United have offered academy prospect JJ Gabriel a new contract as they seek to prevent his departure. The deal changes the terms of any potential move: without an offer on the table, the teenager could have left for a domestic rival in January without a fee.

Now, whether Gabriel accepts the proposed terms or not, English clubs would have to negotiate with United. A move abroad would be governed by FIFA training-compensation rules, with Real Madrid among the clubs linked with interest. The expected compensation would be slightly above €400,000, equivalent to £350,000 and around €412,720.

For United, the offer is about more than a youth contract. Keeping control of Gabriel’s immediate future would protect the club’s position in a market where elite European sides are increasingly alert to academy talent before it reaches the first team.

Galatasaray renew Bruno Fernandes push

Galatasaray have returned for Bruno Fernandes after a proposed transfer failed to materialise last summer. The Turkish champions are currently regarded as the leading contenders for the Portuguese midfielder, with Milan and Juventus also monitoring the situation.

The Italian clubs face difficulties in meeting the financial demands involved, while Galatasaray’s proposal is considered the most attractive. The Istanbul side are determined to complete an agreement this time, adding another potential major move to a market increasingly influenced by clubs seeking experience for the European stage.

Sevilla look to academy value

Sevilla’s financial planning could again depend on players developed within the club. The rising value of Salas, Castrín and Sierra has created scope for further sales, following summer departures involving Juanlu and Oso.

The group has been described as holding potential value of €50 million, a significant figure for a club seeking greater room to manoeuvre in the transfer market. Their progress offers Sevilla both sporting options and possible assets should sales become necessary.

Getafe wait on Carvajal registration

Getafe goalkeeper David Soria expects Dani Carvajal’s proposed move to be completed, but the former Real Madrid defender’s registration remains complicated by La Liga’s assessment of his intended salary.

The league has not accepted the wage figure presented for Carvajal. Three experts have set the amount that must be accommodated, leaving Getafe needing to find a solution within their financial limits.

Soria said the squad would welcome the defender, stressing that the months ahead will bring a heavy schedule. He said Carvajal’s experience, level and standing would make him an outstanding addition, and expressed confidence that the club president could find a way to reach an agreement.

Movement elsewhere in the market

Joselu has joined Al Sailiya on a free transfer after his contract with Al Garafa expired. The former Real Madrid forward will remain in Qatar as he continues his career in the Gulf.

In Spain, Granada prospects Owen Emeka and Dylan have also drawn attention. A Milan scout watched both players against Albacete, while Owen signed a renewal until 2031 in April after earlier interest from Málaga.
