Mike McCarthy took responsibility Sunday after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense turned in a sluggish performance in a loss to the New England Patriots.
The Steelers coach said the shortcomings began with him following an outing in which Pittsburgh’s offense lacked rhythm and struggled to generate momentum.
McCarthy’s comments came after the Patriots handed the Steelers the defeat, with Pittsburgh unable to find the consistent execution needed to overcome an uninspired offensive showing.
