MLB moved up the first pitch times for Thursday’s League Championship Series slate, with weather concerns in Cleveland prompting an afternoon start for the American League game and an earlier evening window for the National League contest.
Thursday’s revised first-pitch times
- ALCS Game 3: Rays at Guardians, 1 p.m. ET Thursday, moved from 6 p.m. ET. The game will air on TBS, truTV, UniMas and HBO Max.
- NLCS Game 4: Brewers at Dodgers, 8 p.m. ET Thursday, shifted ahead one hour from its original 9 p.m. ET slot.
Cleveland will host Game 3 with the American League Championship Series even at one win apiece. The Guardians took the opener, 7-3, before Tampa Bay answered with a 3-1 victory in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
The earlier afternoon window gives the clubs a better chance to get nine innings in despite the forecast around Cleveland. It also puts a little more daylight on a series that has already changed hands once through its first two games.
Brewers take control of the NLCS
Milwaukee heads to Los Angeles holding a 2-0 lead over the Dodgers after sweeping the opening pair in Wisconsin. Before Thursday’s rescheduled Game 4, the Brewers and Dodgers are set to play Game 3 on Wednesday night.
- NLCS Game 3: Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT and 5 p.m. PT.
- Television coverage: FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX One.
- Milwaukee can move within one win of the pennant by extending its early series advantage in Los Angeles.
