- LB Henry To’oTo’o — placed on injured reserve.
- CB Mansoor Delane (shoulder) — scheduled for an MRI Tuesday after leaving Monday night’s game. Initial X-rays were negative.
- WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith — placed on injured reserve.
- LB Kyle Louis (MCL sprain) — expected to miss multiple weeks after being injured in Miami’s Week 1 loss to Las Vegas.
- WR Omar Cooper Jr. (ankle sprain) — considered week to week after encouraging MRI results, with a possible return within four weeks.
- G Landon Dickerson — listed with an injury designation, with no further details provided.
- LB Frankie Luvu (groin) — sustained a minor strain against Philadelphia. His Week 2 availability remains unsettled, though the injury is not expected to become a long-term absence.
The Bills’ practice report included limited work for Johnson and Bernard, while Sanders, Chubb and Hancock practiced fully. Bishop’s status moved down to limited as he manages knee and groin issues.
Several clubs also made injury-related roster decisions. Sampson and To’oTo’o went on injured reserve, as did Lambert-Smith. Delane will undergo further testing after his shoulder injury in Monday night’s game, although the negative X-rays offer an early positive sign.
Louis is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks after his MCL sprain, while Cooper avoided a more serious outcome from his ankle injury and could be back during the next month. Luvu’s groin strain is another developing Week 2 situation.
Week ahead
Tuesday brings Delane’s MRI, which should provide greater clarity on his shoulder issue. Teams will also monitor the practice participation of Johnson, Bernard, Bishop, Mahogany, Scruggs, Miller and Reed as preparations continue for Week 2.
Miami will evaluate Louis’ recovery timeline following its Week 1 defeat against the Raiders. Cooper’s availability will be assessed on a week-to-week basis, while Luvu’s status for the upcoming game remains uncertain.
