NFL contenders have just over two weeks to assess their rosters before the league’s trade deadline arrives at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Deadline deals can be difficult to predict, and not every apparent weakness will lead to a move. Still, recent trade periods have shown that teams are willing to make significant changes when they believe a new player can help a playoff push.
Last season’s late trade activity included moves involving Quinnen Williams, Jaelan Phillips, Sauce Gardner, Rashid Shaheed, Jakobi Meyers and Dre’Mont Jones. The market has already produced notable transactions this year as well, with Marvin Harrison Jr., Cam Jurgens, Joey Porter Jr. and J.J. McCarthy changing teams in recent weeks.
That early movement could be a sign that clubs will continue searching for help as the deadline approaches. Teams in both conferences will be weighing whether to address thin spots on the depth chart, reinforce injured units or add proven contributors for the stretch run.
The central question for prospective buyers is whether an available player can provide enough immediate value to justify the cost before the Nov. 10 cutoff. For contenders with a clear roster concern, the next round of NFL trades could shape both the playoff race and the final months of the regular season.
