Tijjani Noslin has given Lazio another early-season sign that their encouraging start has a forward edge. His header in Venice, following a delivery from Nuno Tavares, sealed a 2-0 win and brought his league total to two goals.
The decision
Gennaro Gattuso has placed considerable trust in Noslin, choosing the Dutchman to lead the line ahead of new signing Andrea Pinamonti. Noslin started centrally against both Milan and Venezia, and has responded with goals as well as increasingly influential performances.
The goal against Venezia followed his earlier strike against Milan, making him one of the prominent figures in Lazio’s opening weeks. It is a selection call that matters beyond a single fixture: the coach has identified Noslin as a starting point for an attack still settling around its new arrivals.
His current return also represents a step forward from last season, when he made 29 rated appearances, scoring four times and providing two assists.

At the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, Lazio found the second goal needed to put Venezia away. Tavares supplied the cross and Noslin rose to direct his header home for the final 2-0 scoreline.
Noslin has played in four of Lazio’s first five league matches, with two goals and an average fantasy rating of 7.20. Valued at 27 credits in the Gazzetta Fantacampionato game, he has become one of the more productive lower-priced attacking options in the opening part of the campaign.
