Alejandro “Papu” Gómez has opened a new chapter in the United Arab Emirates, joining second-tier side Forte Virtus at the age of 38.
The Argentine forward has signed for the club in what becomes the ninth stop of his professional career. Forte Virtus confirmed Gómez’s arrival with his official presentation, bringing a player with extensive experience across South America and Europe into the country’s Second Division.
For Gómez, the move adds another international destination to a career that has taken him through several leagues and clubs. Forte Virtus will now look to benefit from the experience of the Argentine as it competes in the UAE’s second-tier campaign.
