Parma have brought Carlos Cuesta’s time as head coach to an end after concluding that the conditions for continuing the work already underway were no longer in place.
The decision
The club confirmed that the separation was reached by mutual agreement following talks between Cuesta and chief executive Federico Cherubini.
Those discussions focused principally on the handling of several on-field matters. Parma did not specify further details, but the move represents a sudden change in the club’s direction during the season.
In their statement, Parma said that the necessary basis to carry on with the project had disappeared, leading both parties to accept the decision to part company.
