Paris Saint-Germain left Brest with an injury concern as Achraf Hakimi’s evening ended before the interval on Sunday.
The Ligue 1 news
Hakimi started the Ligue 1 match against Brest but was forced off in the 39th minute after feeling discomfort in his adductor area. Fabian Ruiz came on in his place.
PSG confirmed on Monday that the Morocco international, who has 102 caps, suffered a minor strain in his right thigh. The defender will undergo treatment over the next two days before the club issues another medical update.
Paris will therefore have to wait until that assessment to know whether Hakimi can return to training quickly and whether he will be fit for the next major league test.
The next appointment in France
PSG do not have a Champions League fixture this week, with the Europa League beginning on Wednesday. That leaves a short window for Hakimi’s recovery before the first Classique of the season.
Paris travel to Marseille on Sunday 20 September for an 20:45 Ligue 1 kick-off at the Vélodrome. Hakimi’s availability against OM will depend on his response to treatment and the next medical examination.
