Poissy gets another European night
The switch sends PSG back to a venue that has already played a part in their European season. At the Campus PSG, the Parisiennes overwhelmed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 after extra time in the third qualifying round, having drawn the first leg 1-1.
The club said the change from the Parc des Princes was caused by operational limitations. It also stressed that the Campus PSG satisfies all of UEFA’s standards for the competition.
OH Leuven will therefore face PSG at the training-centre complex rather than in the capital’s main stadium, as Paris look to carry the momentum of their qualifying success into the next stage of the Women’s Champions League.
Parc des Princes dates remain in place
The move does not remove the Parc des Princes from PSG Women’s European calendar. The stadium is due to welcome Bayern Munich on 10 November before Juventus visit on 16 December.
It will also stage one of the major domestic fixtures of the French season, when PSG host OL Lyonnes in the league on Saturday 17 October.
