Milan found its answer on a restless night at San Siro, brushing aside Lecce 3-0 after a week in which attention had drifted towards Ruben Amorim and Luka Modric. Christian Pulisic, restored to the starting side for the first time, supplied the spark and left to a thunderous ovation.

The Rossoneri began with urgency, moving the ball through central areas more smoothly than in recent outings. Modric’s link-up with Pulisic gave Milan control, while Samuel Chukwueze repeatedly provided pace and width.
The opener arrived from a more direct route. Strahinja Pavlovic sent a long ball over the Lecce back line, and Pulisic brought it down superbly with his right foot before finishing with his left after 13 minutes.
Milan played with greater freedom after taking the lead but did not immediately turn their dominance into a larger advantage. Lecce occasionally reached Mike Maignan’s area, though without seriously altering the direction of the match before the interval.
The second goal finally reflected Milan’s superiority. Pulisic flicked the ball back with his heel to Rabiot, who combined with Ramos and drove a close-range effort into the goalkeeper’s near corner in the 61st minute.
Amorim then made changes, withdrawing Pulisic to warm applause from the home crowd. Moreira needed little time to make his mark: breaking down the left, he cut inside in the box and finished with a touch of fortune to add the third in the 73rd minute.
Lecce nearly found a late consolation, but Maignan produced two important saves to preserve the clean sheet. For Milan, the evening brought a convincing result and a measure of calm after questions surrounding Amorim, while Modric’s recent Europa League benching and his half-time substitution against Lazio had also fuelled discussion.
