Racing Ferrol Win Galician Derby as Primera RFEF Round 7 Delivers Late Drama

Saturday’s seventh-round Primera RFEF programme moved through three kick-off windows, with Racing Ferrol taking the Galician derby at Deportivo Fabril and late equalisers rescuing points for Águilas and Juventud Torremolinos.

Early matches end with late turns

  1. Racing Ferrol won 1-0 at Deportivo Fabril in Riazor. Unai Ropero struck before half-time after reacting to a loose ball, and that proved sufficient to settle the Coruña derby.
  2. Águilas drew 2-2 with Huesca at El Rubial. Yann Kembo headed Huesca in front just before the interval, but Águilas levelled in the closing seconds of the first half after a lengthy stoppage caused by medical treatment in the stands.
  3. Cristian Herrera restored Huesca’s advantage during the second half, only for Águilas to find a second equaliser in the 93rd minute. Huesca had led twice but left Murcia with one point.
  4. Juventud Torremolinos and Nàstic also finished level at 2-2. Eugeni put the visitors ahead around the half-hour mark, while Torremolinos fought back through Cristian and a stoppage-time Matías Barboza header. It was only Torremolinos’ second point-taking result of the campaign.

Racing Ferrol managed the closing stages through a series of substitutions, replacing Ropero and Vicente Esquerdo with Roberto Arroyo and Jesús Bernal before later sending on Saúl García and David Castro for Raúl Blanco and Dani Ojeda. Deportivo Fabril introduced Pablo García and Diego Martínez for Álvaro Mardones and Álvaro Fraga, then made a further late change.

There were cautions for Ferrol’s Fabio González, who pulled back San José to halt a counterattack, and Álvaro Ramón after a foul on Iker Gil. Earlier, Lucas Díaz had denied Gil with a strong save, while Ropero’s first Ferrol attempt had been a tame effort from outside the area.

At El Pozuelo, Dominique Moubeke was booked for stopping a Nàstic break involving Sinan Bakis, and Javier Mérida later received Torremolinos’ second yellow card after bringing down Bakis. Torremolinos used a triple substitution, introducing Pablo Pérez, Ibrahim Matiti and Manuel Sánchez, while Nàstic sent on Diego Gómez, Borja Sánchez and Joan Prohens.

Second wave: four matches still in progress

  1. Teruel held a 1-0 second-half lead over Alcorcón at La Pinilla, where Joserra scored late in the opening period. Pablo Rivera was booked for stopping a Teruel attack and Esteban Aparicio also went into the referee’s book for Alcorcón.
  2. Cacereño were level at 1-1 with Unionistas. Osama had thrown himself at a cross to put the home side ahead, before Unionistas equalised in first-half stoppage time.
  3. UD Ourense led Barakaldo 1-0 after Baldrich scored shortly after the restart. The first half had ended goalless despite both sides committing fully to the contest.
  4. Villarreal B were ahead 2-1 at Real Jaén. Siverio gave the visitors an early advantage, Real Jaén replied from the penalty spot, and Albert García later put Villarreal B back in front at La Victoria.

Cacereño goalkeeper Álex Daza made a notable stop from Tellechea to prevent a second goal, while a possible handball was reviewed at the pitchside monitor before the referee awarded a penalty. In the earlier stages, Gazzaniga had also produced an important save to keep out Serpeta.

Real Jaén’s route back into their match came when the referee awarded their penalty after Villarreal B’s early opener. Villarreal B then regained control through Albert García as the second half developed.

The seven fixtures formed part of a long Saturday across Groups 1 and 2 of the 2026/27 Primera RFEF season, with kick-offs scheduled at 16:30, 18:30 and 18:45.
