Early verdict on the new faces
The first assessments of Leipzig’s recruits have been mixed rather than emphatic. Christopher Nkunku, Marc Guiu and Maxime Esteve have generally produced only moderate performances so far.

Work still to do
With seven signings to integrate, Leipzig’s new-look side remains a work in progress. The club’s immediate task is to turn individual arrivals into a more settled team after another major summer of change.
