Roma’s centenary will be marked not only by the date on the calendar but by a return to the clubs whose merger created the Giallorossi. The 2027-28 Adidas kit collection is set to commemorate the three Roman sides brought together in the spring of 1927.
The decision
The shirts planned for Roma’s 100th anniversary season will honour Alba-Audace, Fortitudo-Pro Roma and Foot Ball Club di Roma, the three clubs whose union led to the formation of AS Roma on 7 June 1927.
The project is intended as a tribute to the meeting of different colours, identities and supporter bases in the capital, a merger that established the club’s early image and place in the city’s football life.
Roma’s original badge, used from 1927 until 1934, is expected to be an important reference point. It featured the Capitoline Wolf alongside the intertwined ASR monogram, linking the new anniversary designs to the club’s first years.
Adidas will officially unveil the 2027-28 Roma kits during the summer of 2027, ahead of a season that will carry the weight of the club’s centenary.
