While Roma faced Inter at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday 19 September, the club’s vice-president Ryan Friedkin marked a major private occasion on the French Riviera, marrying Julia LeBlanc in Saint-Tropez.
A family occasion away from the Olimpico
- In the late afternoon, as Manu Koné and his Roma team-mates took on Inter in one of the weekend’s principal Serie A fixtures, Friedkin’s wedding took place in France.
- The 35-year-old married LeBlanc at Château de La Messardière, a 19th-century property surrounded by greenery near Saint-Tropez.
- The venue is also due to feature in the fourth season of
The White Lotus
, having been selected as one of the two hotels used in the series.
Familiar faces in Saint-Tropez
The guest list brought together figures from the entertainment world, including actor Timothée Chalamet and his partner Kylie Jenner.
Chalamet has been close to Friedkin for more than a decade and is a supporter of Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma. Jenner, an entrepreneur and television personality, has a social-media following of more than 380 million.
During the weekend, Chalamet was also seen cycling through Saint-Tropez, wearing a helmet over a cap and accompanied by his bodyguard.
