Ryan Friedkin was absent from Roma’s meeting with Inter at the Stadio Olimpico last weekend, but the club’s vice-president had a personal reason that could hardly be postponed: he was getting married.
More than 700 kilometres from the capital, Friedkin married Julia LeBlanc in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera, a place especially close to the Friedkin family.
The ceremony took place at Château de la Messardière, a 19th-century estate surrounded by more than ten hectares of private parkland. It provided an elegant setting for a wedding attended by members of the Friedkin family, including Roma owner Dan Friedkin.
A Roma figure away from the Olimpico
The timing meant Friedkin was not in Rome as the Giallorossi faced Inter, but the weekend carried a different kind of significance for one of the club’s senior figures.
Ryan Friedkin has played an increasingly visible role within Roma’s ownership structure alongside his father. While the team’s season continues to be shaped by results, coaching decisions and the weekly demands of Serie A, the vice-president marked an important family occasion away from the matchday spotlight.
Chalamet among the guests
The guest list included actors and figures from the entertainment world. Timothée Chalamet, a friend of Ryan Friedkin for more than a decade and a well-known Roma supporter, attended with Kylie Jenner.
Dan Friedkin and the wider Friedkin family were also present as Ryan Friedkin and LeBlanc began their married life in Saint-Tropez.
