Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is progressing well after knee surgery, but he is not expected to return to practice next week.
Coach Sean McVay said Garrett has been “making good progress” in his rehabilitation. Still, the Rams are unlikely to activate the 21-day practice window that would begin the process of bringing him back to the active roster.
Rams taking a measured approach
Garrett remains sidelined as he recovers from the procedure, and Los Angeles appears set to give him more time before he resumes on-field work with the club.
Once the Rams open his 21-day window, Garrett would be eligible to practice while the team determines whether to activate him for game action. McVay’s update indicates that step is not expected in the coming week.
