The Raptors have set Darko Rajaković’s coaching and development group for 2026-27, adding veteran NBA coach Stephen Silas to the front bench and promoting Matt Vest after three seasons working under Rajaković in video and player development.
Silas will work alongside returning front-bench assistants Pat Delany and Jama Mahlalela. Jeremy Castleberry is back in Toronto, while Ivo Simović, Vin Bhavnani, Eric Khoury, Jim Sann and Mery Andrade also remain on the staff.
Rajaković adds a veteran voice to the front bench
- Silas arrives with 25 NBA seasons on his coaching résumé, most recently serving as lead assistant with the Detroit Pistons in 2023-24.
- He was Houston’s head coach from 2020 through 2023 and previously held assistant roles with Dallas, Charlotte, Golden State, Cleveland and New Orleans.
- His longest NBA stop came in Charlotte, where he coached for 10 seasons across two stints: 2000-02 and 2010-18.
- Silas also coached USA Basketball during the 2025 and 2027 FIBA AmeriCup qualifying windows, posting an 11-3 record and guiding the Americans to bronze in August.
- Before reaching the NBA, the Boston native spent three years as assistant executive director of the National Basketball Retired Players Association.
Vest’s promotion puts another Rajaković-developed staffer on the bench. He had worked as an assistant video coordinator and player development coach from 2023-26.
Before coming to Toronto, Vest spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach for Medi Bayreuth in Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga and also coached at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The Dayton, Ohio, native played seven professional seasons in Germany from 2014-21, splitting that run among five teams. He played four college seasons at Wright State, earning a business management degree.
Castleberry returns after Clippers stint
Castleberry is beginning his second Toronto season after first joining the franchise during its 2018-19 championship campaign. He then spent the 2019-26 period as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers.
His NBA path also includes five seasons in the San Antonio Spurs organization from 2013-18. Castleberry began in the G League with the Austin Toros, later known as the Austin Spurs, and moved up to San Antonio as an assistant video coordinator. The Upper Marlboro, Maryland, native played at San Diego State from 2011-13.
Development and video group gains three staffers
- Stephane Ingo joins after two seasons in Sacramento. He worked as a coaching associate in 2024-25 before moving into an assistant video coordinator role last season.
- The Mississauga native played for the Winnipeg Sea Bears in the Canadian Elite Basketball League from 2022-24. His college career included four years at Maine and a 2022-23 season at Marist.
- Isiah Price comes to Toronto following four seasons with Chicago, where he most recently held the title of coordinator of player development.
- Before entering the league, Price worked as a graduate assistant at Northern Kentucky for two seasons. He played at Greenville University from 2017-19 and graduated with a media communications degree.
- Aidan Wilson joins after four years with the Toronto Metropolitan University Bold men’s program. The Vancouver native previously played for Douglas College and the University of the Fraser Valley before transferring to TMU.
Ingo, Price and Wilson join Ike Azotam and Kareem Elliott in the video coordinator and player development coach group. Felecia Brown will return for her fourth Raptors season as manager of coaching operations.
