Taste of October Brings Upscale World Series Fare to Tropicana Field

The Rays have a World Series game waiting at Tropicana Field, but the Budweiser Porch in center field has built its own postseason lineup. The Taste of October stand is serving a high-end menu shaped around steak, Florida seafood and a pair of oversized dessert plays.

Tampa Bay and Milwaukee meet in Game 4 of the best-of-seven World Series tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT, with coverage on FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX One.

Quick facts

  • The Clubhouse Tomahawk centers on an 18-ounce Wagyu bone-in ribeye.
  • Colossal Stone Crab Claws are priced at $99 for a serving of more than one pound.
  • The Surf & Turf pairing, featuring crab claws and the tomahawk steak, costs $209 while available.
  • Gelato choices are salted caramel and Tahitian vanilla bean, served in a souvenir helmet.

The steak plate brings a pepper-crusted Wagyu ribeye with herb butter, served either sliced or left on the bone. It comes with truffle-Parmesan fries, saffron aioli and spicy remoulade.

Fans looking to make the order a celebration can choose the Tomahawk and Toast package. Along with the steak spread, it includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and four postseason champagne flutes, with Dom Perignon available as an added upgrade. Champagne and wine also can be ordered separately by the glass or bottle.

The tomahawk has a clubhouse connection. The offering takes its cue from designated hitter Yandy Díaz, who had a similar steak during Tampa Bay’s pennant-clinching celebration.

For the seafood side of the card, the stand is offering a shareable pile of Colossal Stone Crab Claws. The more-than-one-pound order is accompanied by Bloody Mary cocktail sauce, Florida citrus mustard and lemon.

The biggest combined order is the Tampa Bay Surf & Turf, matching those stone crab claws with the Clubhouse Tomahawk Steak. It is listed at $209, subject to supply.

Dessert stays in the ballpark theme. Homespun Gelato can be ordered in salted caramel or Tahitian vanilla bean, with a chosen topping and cookie packed into a souvenir helmet.

The Sweet Field of Dreams goes deeper into the lineup with both gelato flavors, double chocolate, triple chocolate chip and red velvet cookies. Kahlúa chocolate ganache and toasted pistachios are included for dipping.
