Belgrade’s next European night at Partizan Stadium will be played with a reduced west stand after UEFA activated a suspended punishment arising from crowd behaviour during the club’s qualifier against Getafe.
The sanction follows the second leg of the final qualifying round, played in the Serbian capital on 27 August. Getafe’s result in that tie carried the Madrid side into the group stage.

The immediate stadium restriction concerns 5,000 places in the west stand and must be enforced when Partizan next host a European fixture. It is the consequence of a punishment that had been held in reserve following previous misconduct.
UEFA’s disciplinary decision also includes a separate response to racist conduct at the Getafe match. Partizan have been fined €30,000, while a potential closure affecting 15,000 seats in the west and south sections will remain suspended for the next two years.
There were further financial penalties for pyrotechnics and lasers: €2,000 for flares thrown during the match and €10,000 for the use of laser pointers.
The measures were among UEFA’s disciplinary rulings covering the preliminary rounds of its club competitions and the opening league-phase matchday in the Champions League and Europa League.
