VfB Stuttgart moved with purpose in the summer market and committed serious money to reshape the squad. The early picture is more restrained: only one of the club’s four arrivals is currently a regular in the starting XI.
Quick facts
- Stuttgart signed four players during the summer window.
- The club spent transfer money on targeted additions.
- One newcomer arrived on a free transfer and has made the starting side.
- Dzenan Pejcinovic, Leo Sauer and Grischa Prömel are among the summer recruits.
Prömel, Sauer and Pejcinovic are still working to establish themselves after their moves to Stuttgart. The squad’s new faces have brought different profiles, but the starting places have not opened up evenly.
The free signing is the only newcomer presently selected from the outset. Stuttgart’s other additions remain in the process of pushing for a larger role as the season develops.
