October baseball will open on Sept. 29 with a four-series Wild Card card, and NBC will be back in the postseason picture for the first time since the 2000 American League Championship Series. The best-of-three openers run through Oct. 1, with every Wild Card game carried across NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network platforms.

The Thursday board will shift if any Wild Card Series ends in two games. If Philadelphia-Atlanta is finished, the White Sox-Astros Game 3 moves to 2 p.m. on NBC and Peacock, while Boston-New York stays at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock and Chicago-San Diego remains at 10 p.m. on Peacock and NBC Sports Network.
If Chicago-San Diego is complete, the Phillies-Braves game stays at 2 p.m., White Sox-Astros remains at 5 p.m. on Peacock and NBC Sports Network, and Red Sox-Yankees holds the 8 p.m. NBC and Peacock window. If Boston-New York has ended, Cubs-Padres takes the 8 p.m. NBC and Peacock slot, with Philadelphia-Atlanta at 2 p.m. and White Sox-Astros at 5 p.m. If White Sox-Astros is done, the remaining Philadelphia-Atlanta, Boston-New York and Chicago-San Diego games keep the 2 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. assignments, respectively.
With only two Game 3s left, most combinations place games at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock. The exception comes if both White Sox-Astros and Phillies-Braves are settled: Red Sox-Yankees would begin at 7 p.m., followed by Cubs-Padres at 9:30 p.m., both on NBC and Peacock. Should only one deciding game remain, it will air at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
Spanish-language television coverage of the Wild Card round will be available on Universo, with Spanish audio carried by Univision Radio. ESPN Radio will have national live calls for every postseason game beginning with the Wild Card Series. MLB Network will support the tournament with studio programming on MLB Tonight, MLB Central, MLB Now and Intentional Talk.

The National League pennant race begins Oct. 11, with the American League Championship Series joining it a day later. The two leagues alternate through the possible Game 7 dates of Oct. 19 for the NLCS and Oct. 20 for the ALCS.
