Arkadiusz Milik Suffers Fresh Juventus Injury Setback

Arkadiusz Milik’s difficult return to football has suffered another setback. The former Marseille forward has picked up a muscle problem at Juventus, extending a punishing spell in which injuries have kept him largely out of sight for almost two years.

The issue emerged on Sunday and is understood to be muscular fatigue rather than a serious new tear. Even so, it is another physical concern for the 32-year-old Poland international, whose recent career has been repeatedly interrupted since June 2024.

Milik injured his knee while away with Poland when he was already a Juventus substitute with limited opportunities. That injury ruled him out for the whole of the 2024-25 campaign. Since then, he has managed only 34 minutes of competitive action, played across a brief period between late March and early April.

There has been no appearance for him at the beginning of the current season. Juventus named him among the substitutes on two occasions before leaving him out of their Serie A and Europa League squads, leaving the Coppa Italia as his only available route back onto the pitch.

Juventus are due to face Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia round of 16 in early December, but Milik’s latest muscle concern now adds uncertainty to his hopes of being involved. The striker, who spent the 2021-22 season at Marseille, remains caught in a long fight to regain rhythm and fitness.
