Blackhawks lock up a young forward
Moore’s current entry-level agreement, signed March 29, 2025, totals $2.85 million over three seasons. He would have been eligible to become a restricted free agent after this season, but Chicago has moved ahead of that decision with a longer commitment.
His first full NHL sample included 19 points, made up of five goals and 14 assists, across 51 games. The speed-driven forward also found offense quickly when assigned to Rockford, recording six goals and three assists in nine contests.
Moore broke through for his first NHL goal on Nov. 9, 2025, scoring in his 13th appearance with Chicago during a 5-1 road win over the Detroit Red Wings.
College resume and international gold
Chicago selected Moore with the 19th overall choice of the 2023 NHL Draft. Before turning pro, he put up 12 goals and 21 assists in 38 games during his sophomore season at the University of Minnesota.
He had already earned Big Ten All-Rookie Team recognition following his freshman year, and his international background includes consecutive World Junior Championship gold medals with the United States in 2024 and 2025.
The Blackhawks begin their regular-season schedule Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas. The game is set for 10:30 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN and TVAS2.
