The Milwaukee Brewers carry a little extra meaning this season for the family of Bob Uecker.
In a statement released Wednesday by the club, the Hall of Fame broadcaster’s family said Uecker would be “incredibly proud” of the Brewers.
Uecker, whose voice and humor became inseparable from baseball in Milwaukee over decades behind the microphone, remains a lasting part of the franchise’s identity. The family’s message offered a simple reminder of the connection between the Brewers, their supporters and one of the game’s most beloved broadcasters.
