Brandon Woodruff is back on Milwaukee’s World Series roster after a long shoulder-related absence, taking the spot previously held by Chad Patrick.
The result
Woodruff had not appeared in a game since July 4 while dealing with the shoulder injury. Milwaukee has now added the right-hander for the World Series, giving the club another experienced arm for the championship round.
Patrick was removed from the roster to make room for Woodruff.
The rotation next
No upcoming start or bullpen assignment for Woodruff was named with the roster move. His availability will be one of the Brewers’ key pitching questions as the World Series unfolds.
