Brisbane’s morning sun framed Brazil’s final session in Australia as Carlo Ancelotti’s squad turned quickly from a 4-2 win over the hosts to the last stop of its international window, a friendly against India.
The open training session took place on Wednesday at the same Brisbane venue where Brazil had beaten Australia in their second friendly. The players stepped on to the pitch shortly before 9am local time, which was just before 9pm on Tuesday in Brasília.
Supporters were admitted to watch the workout, with a 15,000-capacity section made available at the ground. Around 9,000 fans had registered to attend, although the final attendance was due to be confirmed only after the session.
Starters managed separately
A group of players who began the victory over Australia were given lighter ball work away from the main session led by Ancelotti. Gabriel Bontempo, Mauro Júnior, Rayan, Endrick, Jair, Gabriel Magalhães, Vinícius Júnior, Bruno Guimarães, Danilo and Vanderson trained apart from the rest of the squad.
Raphinha was absent after being released from the camp because of swelling in the back of his right thigh. The Barcelona forward has already departed Australia.
India next on the itinerary
Brazil are scheduled to leave Brisbane at 2pm local time, or 1am in Brasília, for India. The match there will conclude the national team’s fixtures during this international break.
