Como delivered a 4-1 demolition of RB Leipzig, turning a two-goal first-half lead into a commanding European-night statement. Martin Baturina, Tasos Douvikas, Assane Diao and substitute Máximo Perrone scored for the Italian side, while Andrija Maksimovic’s spectacular strike was Leipzig’s only reply.
Como 4-1 RB Leipzig: Como punish Leipzig in ruthless display
Leipzig began with intent and Antonio Nusa twice tested Como early, first from outside the area and then after Christopher Nkunku’s headed set-up. Lucas da Cunha also brought a low save at the other end before Como struck in the 15th minute.
Baturina finished low into the left corner from the middle of the box to put Como ahead. Leipzig had openings through Andrija Maksimovic, Marc Guiu and Ridle Baku, but failed to turn their pressure into an equaliser.
Como instead widened the gap seven minutes before the interval. Baturina released Douvikas with a through ball and the forward swept a right-footed finish inside the left post for 2-0.

Leipzig resumed with Nusa again involved, but Como found the decisive third goal in the 54th minute. Nico Paz fed Diao on the right side of the area and Diao drove a low shot across goal and into the far corner.
The German side immediately found a moment of quality. Nkunku laid the ball to Maksimovic, whose left-footed effort from outside the penalty area flew into the top-left corner to reduce the deficit to 3-1.
That goal did not produce a sustained comeback. Leipzig sent on Ezechiel Banzuzi, Assan Ouédraogo and Tidiam Gomis on the hour, with Brajan Gruda added ten minutes later and Benjamin Henrichs introduced late on for Baku.
Banzuzi headed narrowly over from a David Raum corner and later missed from close range after Castello Lukeba’s through pass. Ouédraogo, Gomis and Baku also failed to find the target, while David Raum and Nusa had late efforts blocked.
Como made a triple change in the 65th minute, bringing on Perrone, Moise Kean and Marc Oliver Kempf for Da Cunha, Douvikas and Baturina. Ivan Smolcic replaced Yan Couto in the 74th minute, before Samuele Ricci came on for Diao.
Kean created danger after entering, seeing a header blocked, while Paz fired narrowly wide from a counterattack. Leipzig’s missed chances left the visitors exposed at the end, and Como sealed the result in stoppage time.
Paz led another break and sent Perrone through. The substitute finished low with his left foot inside the left post in the 90th minute, completing a four-goal night for Como.
