With Belgium waiting under the Monday night lights, France could turn to Désiré Doué in an unfamiliar central role for their Nations League trip.

France coach Zinédine Zidane used Sunday evening’s training session to test a potentially surprising attacking option ahead of Monday’s match in Belgium, scheduled for 20:45.
Doué could be selected as the No. 9, with Ousmane Dembélé the player most likely to make way. The set-up observed in training may not be the exact team that starts, as Zidane could still blend different combinations, but the possibility of Doué leading the line has emerged clearly.
Zidane is not usually inclined to stage full tactical rehearsals on the eve of an international fixture. However, with limited time on the training pitch during the camp, the France manager has used the available sessions to work on his team’s organisation.
He has already confirmed that changes will be made for the Belgium game. Zidane also made clear in his press conference that Dembélé, the France Football Ballon d’Or winner, will not start every match.
