Crystal Palace have moved to secure one of the defining figures of their recent rise, with captain Dean Henderson committing his future to the south London club despite an injury keeping him out of their latest European night.
Dean Henderson signs Crystal Palace deal until 2030
The England goalkeeper has signed a new contract running until June 2030, Crystal Palace confirmed on Wednesday afternoon. Henderson, 29, joined the Eagles in August 2023 and has become captain during a remarkable spell at Selhurst Park.
Palace said they were delighted that their skipper had agreed fresh terms. The former Manchester United academy player has made 119 appearances in all competitions and has played a central role in the most successful period in the club’s history.
Henderson lifted Palace’s first three major trophies: the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2025, followed by the Conference League in 2026. His new agreement gives the club long-term continuity in a position that has become fundamental to its identity.
“The past three years have been extraordinary and I’m very happy to extend my contract,” Henderson said. “My best years are still ahead of me, and I’m pleased to give them to Crystal Palace.”
The six-cap England international will not be available for Palace’s Europa League opener against Lech Poznan on Thursday at 21:00. He was also absent through injury when Pierre Sage’s side lost 3-2 to newly promoted Ipswich in their most recent Premier League match.
