Snell worked around a two-out single by Sal Stewart in the opening frame, then erased the runner with a pickoff and caught-stealing sequence to face the minimum. He did not return for the second inning.

Strong run since August return
Before leaving the Cincinnati start, Snell had been one of the Dodgers’ sharpest starters since coming back from the injured list on Aug. 11. Across six starts entering Wednesday, he had gone 4-0 with a 1.04 ERA.
The immediate question for Los Angeles is whether the left groin tightness will interrupt that late-season roll or merely shorten one night on the road.
